Change occurs throughout the human lifespan. Beginning the very moment conception occurs up until the last breath of life is experienced, change happens. It is part of life. Change is both expected and unexpected but mostly, change is anticipated. Change can bring with it a variety of emotion ranging in levels of happiness to despair. Change can seemingly appear out of nowhere, unexpectedly influencing the lives of those around us.

In reality, change is a slow and difficult process; one that many seek to avoid at all costs. Change is often subtle and rarely recognized in the beginning stages. It often goes unnoticed and unrecognized until the changes begin to accumulate; waving a flag, screaming for attention, while taking many forms. When the change is nearing the completion stage, that is often when others begin to recognize a change is on the way but do not expect the immediate differences to appear as strongly and quickly as they believe to have occurred.

The beginning stages of change often include internal emotional, intellectual, or physical transformations unavailable to the eye. People cannot visually see change occurring internally in others and often fail to notice these changes within one self. These include decision making, rational versus irrational thoughts or thinking, critical thinking or no thought pattern present.

Such internal changes can often lead to changes or shifts in personality. If the shift in personality is abrupt or continuous, this has the potential to cause or influence further changes to the internal thought patterns of the brain, influencing beliefs which potentially have the power to influence irrational, false, or untrue thoughts, images, or delusions within the mind of the brain. If they continue long enough, they have the potential to alter a person's entire reality.
